Twist : Yoga Poems by Janet S Wong

I picked this up in the Juvenile Section at the library because the cover was colorful.  The poems themselves are not my favorites, but they would work well for very young children, they may be a little too corny for those over the age of 9-10 (just my experience with this age group, it could work though).

They are, to me, written in the voice of a child – especially the author’s note in the back – so much so that I actually checked out her web site to see how old she was – she isn’t a child.  The illustrations again are quite colorful and remind me of early dynasty / antiquity art) like early illustrations of the Kama Sutra.

For a children’s book of poems, it isn’t that bad.

I give this 5 out of 7.
