Deliciosity Strikes Again for Vegans – Lunchtime
Last night I stopped by my favorite bread shop Great Harvest Bread Company, and picked up two loaves, two cinnamon rolls (watch these they have about 600 calories each – hubby loves them), a mint melt away cookie and dog biscuits (total $17.49).
This afternoon I have decided to be risky and try my Tabatchnick’s Vegetarian Chili – I say risky because chili
usually is too spicy for me and gives me acid stomach and reflux. This chili however rocked my lunchtime experience. Quite savory, not too thick, but not watery either, a good mix of TVP and Kidney Beans, and a not too overwhelming tomato taste. I love it. I made both packets. 1 Pouch Serving has 180 calories, 3.5 grams fat (o saturated), 28 grams of carbohydrates (8 are fiber, 3 are sugar) and 12 grams of protein.
I added a slice of Stuffing Bread (made with 100% Whole Wheat) to make me feel warm and cozy. I would have picked up the election day special – Red, White and Blueberry bread – a mix of berries but it was made with white flour and contained high fructose corn syrup (I sooner pick up breads with honey than HFCS).
Again, a purchase from Woodman’s. Check out their site for a location near you and enjoy the picture of my delicious lunch.
I give both of these 6 out of 7.
