Fitness Find #2 – Outdoor Fitness Must Have
Before going to Whole Foods, I stopped over at TJ Maxx – Chris loves to get $5 shirts. Not anymore. They remodeled the whole store with new racks and new higher prices. Not cool TJ Maxx. I managed to find
something I do need though, some serious socks for the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago. Christopher and I volunteer as parade route announcers every year and it is quite cold. Point in case, these socks were listed at $12.99 and were priced at $7.99 – usually you could get things like this for $5.99. Moving on – they are super fleece like, and warm. I bought two pairs – one from Acorn the other Wyoming.
These would have been great when I used to ride in the winter – I would hate going to the barn with three pairs of socks on, and boots or paddock boots on and having a trainer tell me "Heels down" and me thinking, I can’t move my ankles or feet they are so puffed with stuffing. These would have been a blessing. Not to mention hiking, or late in the season biking. I’m sure you could also make these, but I am not that handy.
