Post Partum Weight Loss Day #3

I spent today doing more chores around the house, laundry, cleaning the kitchen and attempting to clean the oven though I can’t figure out what you use to get rid of the black gunk inside it.  I also taught two Hatha Yoga Classes.  The first was full of new faces and several repeat students – I did a decent amount of talking and a little demo’ing.  The second class was a private lesson and I did a fair amount of demo with core strengthening asanas and hip openers (that was the student’s focus).  Sadly Chris has learned that our son can scream and cry for 2 hours straight.  I fed him for 3 hours prior to leaving for class, and again, as with Monday’s noon class, the minute I left the car he woke up and started crying non-stop.

The Meal Plan:

Breakfast:

2 soft boiled eggs (I substituted 2 servings of tofu mixed with spinach, tomatoes, onions and garlic – tofu scramble)

1 whole wheat bagel with 2 tsp jam

3/4 cp grapefruit juice (I had OJ)

Snack:

1 orange (I had to have 1 cp OJ because we have no oranges)

2 Tbsp almonds

Lunch:

1 chicken burrito (I had Amy’s Kitchen roasted Veg Tamale – 280 calories total meal)

1/2 cup Spanish Rice (I forgot to make rice- but I had an extra snack of a mini Luna Bar before class)

Snack:

1 cup Fat Free Yogurt

1 banana – (again I hate yogurt so I took a cup of Silk and mixed it with the banana and a few frozen berries for a smoothie)

added 1 mini Luna Bar before class

Dinner:

4 oz lean beef roast (went with 2 Helen’s Tofu Steaks)

4 small (golf ball size) red potatoes (didn’t have any so I did a medium sized russet potato)

1 cp steamed cauliflower

1 cup garden salad with 2 tbsp fat free dressing (I did 1 cp spinach and grape tomatoes with 1 tbsp garlic expressions dressing)
