Post Partum Weight Loss Meal Plan Day #23
Again I was up all night long with a fussy baby, and as it turns out a 7 year old who never sleeps – though I thought he was asleep in my defense, he snuck downstairs to play. My meal plan today was again loosely based on Day 2 because I was just not in the mood for food. In fact, I didn’t stick to designated times, eating small meals every 2-3 hours which may be impeding my weight loss. Regular, well balanced small meals spaced evenly throughout the day help your body burn fuel more efficiently and in turn well aid in better weight loss results. I don’t know why, with all the education and knowledge I have accrued over the years in the fitness industry and from working with nutritionists/dieticians I am still under the impression, and fantasy, that the weight should just be melting off each week since the baby was born.
Meal Plan:(ish)
Woke up at 1pm after going to sleep at 5 am and sleeping intermittently
1 cp oatmeal
1 cp silk with 1/2 cp blackberries, 1/2 strawberries, 1 banana smoothie
5:15 pm after spending time with my parents at their shop
3 mini Smores Luna bars (all I could get my hands on, and I opted not to have any of the chocolate and candy we bought – yay for good decisions)
7:30 pm after using the Wii Fit, deciding I wanted Teriyaki Tofu again and sending someone to TJ’s
1/2 c Silk, 1/2 c blackberries, 1/2 c strawberries 1 banana smoothie
8:45 pm after groceries return and I feed the baby for the umpteenth time
2 servings Teriyaki Tofu
1 medium Russet Potato with a side of ketchup
As anyone with eyes in their head can see, this was not the best eating plan for the day, nor was it well spaced out – make this a lesson for everyone out there attempting weight loss. The baby and I took a bath – the easiest way to get a newborn clean in my book, I fed him and he’s napping – I hope this means I can go to bed right now for at least 1 hour.
