Banglz: Style and Fitness Combined
If you have been in my Power Yoga class you know resistance training. It tones and builds the muscle that helps us to keep burning those calories. Seldom does a student leave without at least glistening and more often than not down right sweating.
For years I have incorporated low weight dumbbells into our Power Yoga class at Sky Yoga Studio. Students and myself love that added weight – but it can be difficult to maneuver picking up and putting down the weights during flow transitions. The cloth was soft as were the weights themselves and the sleeves easy to take on and off. They made transitions in class far easier then picking up weights and of course there is no way to use dumbbells on your legs during class. I have even tried them on the wrists and it is easier to go from plank to down dog and sweep to a lunge while not worrying about grabbing weights.
As a fitness expert of course I would recommend you check with a OT, PT or doctor before using ankle and hand weights for daily walking and running.
